The Feldenkrais Method® is a gentle system of movement education. Lessons differ from traditional exercise by asking you to focus on how you can make the moves easily and without effort.
Lessons are done in many positions (lying, kneeling, and sitting), in which you learn to refine your awareness skills. They encourage different movement patterns, like rolling over or getting up from a chair.
Through Feldenkrais, you discover new ways to approach daily activities with greater ease and efficiency. Benefits include improved posture, flexibility, coordination, balance, and reduced pain.
Movement awareness is best understood by direct experience.
